Batumi is an old city and resort that is interesting in the aspects of recreation and tourism and travel. 
The name of the city is originated from Bathus – which means a deep bay. 
Several resorts are spread along the sea-cost: Kobuleti, Chakvi, Gonio, Kvariati, Sarpi, and etc.

Batumi Dolphinarium was founded in 1974 and it became of the main attractions of this city.
